We are looking for a Lead/Senior Electrical Engineerto be based at our clients West Perth Office for an initial 12 month contract.

In this role the successful candidate will be working on the development of a major onshore gas project.

Candidates must be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Power) including eligibility for corporate membership with Institute of Engineers Australia. Experience in conceptual, FEED and detailed electrical design as well as substation design in the onshore oil & gas industry is essential for this role.

Key skills and experience requirements:

10 years + experience in Oil and Gas projects

Strong technical background

Power systems study experience (ETAP)

Excellent working knowledge of Australian design codes and standards

Hazardous area engineering

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

The successful candidates should be degree qualified or with equivalent experience in managing contracts in remote regions of Western Australia consisting of Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Instrument & Electrical and/or Marine Engineering.

The candidates should have completed at least 10 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry. A key objective for all our clients projects is to complete the work injury and incident free by promotion and management of well executed HSE plans and initiatives.

Excellent communication, client liaison and planning and organisational skills are essential as well as holding a sound working knowledge of Completions and Commissioning management systems.

Attention to codes and standards and the ability to troubleshoot technical problems and provide concise written reports will also be required in this role.

Planner- Environmental/Approvals/Commercial

Reporting to the Lead Planning Engineer, the key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

To provide a planning, control and monitoring service to the

Environment, Government Licenses, Commercial, GHG, Supply Base & Marketing teams, covering all contractors and associated subcontractors

Development of detailed schedules in coordination with various stakeholders and contractors

Feed the above plans into the Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in

Monitor progress and all aspects of the schedule, appraise and advise the Lead Planning Engineer of progress and trends in the event of any deviations from the program

Assist the Lead Planning Engineer in development of overall project monthly progress reports

Prepare clear and concise planning reports and documentation for the above plans on a regular basis (monthly / bi-monthly) including bar charts, networks, milestone and variance reports

Attend progress and coordination meetings

Provide an independent assessment of individual team's progress

To be considered for this role, relevant tertiary qualifications and prior experience in a similar Planning role is essential. The successful candidate will also possess knowledge of Planning software such as Primavera 6, Microsoft Project and Suretrack within the Oil & Gas industry. Some travel may be required to oversee subcontractor's offices, fabrication yards and work carried out on site.

Senior Procurement Specialist (Subsea Equipment)

This is an opportunity for a procurement professional to undertake all aspects of the procurement process for major subsea packages. Ideally you will have 10+ years experience with Oil & Gas Operator, with experience of project subsea materials and equipment purchasing. SAP R/3 knowledge would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Coordinating and implementing all aspects of the FEED Contractors work relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of purchase orders for long lead/critical items materials for Offshore Facilities, primarily subsea scope (e.g. line pipe, subsea umbilical, subsea valves);
Supporting the contract management of the Offshore Facilities FEED Contract deliverables, specifically in relation to procurement deliverables by FEED Contractor;
Ensuring the FEED Contractor is in compliance with the approved contracting and procurement procedures;
Creating and managing SAP Purchase Orders for Offshore related requirements (as required);
Ensuring Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented in all procurement activities;

The successful candidate will ideally have appropriate tertiary qualifications that are supported by extensive oil and gas procurement experience, particularly in the Operator team. This should be complemented by an extensive knowledge of major subsea equipment experience and an in depth knowledge of the ITT process. Of utmost importance is the ability to work under pressure and to work as part of a team.

Building Project Engineer (Yokohama)

The Building Project Engineer role will be responsible for the supervision of FEED and EPC Contractors Building design and work schedule, including activities associated with design documentation, tendering and implementation. In addition, technical advisory on building design from conceptualization to construction and handover will be inherent in this role.

Reporting to the Project Services Manager, the key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Provide technical support and advice with regard to building services

Ensure activities comply with environmental and quality plans

Advise, approve and supervise the Contractor's design and planning activities for buildings issues

Assist with the management of building design change approval and site query issues

Supervise OBT (Open Book Tendering) process by Contractor regarding building and associated issues

Review and comment of Contractor / Supplier documentation in a timely manner

Participate in Design Reviews and Constructability Reviews

Provide advices for development of contract strategy regarding building structures and related activities

Provide input for development of Environmental management plan

Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer

Due to our clients continued growth, they now require the services of an experienced senior onshore pipeline engineer to join their team.

Synopsis
We require a contractor to provide onshore pipeline engineering expertise to development the project, ensuring optimal pipeline system selection, definition and execution from the perspective of inherent safety, operability, design integrity, constructability and project value.
The contract will commence early September until early 2013.
This contractor will provide engineering expertise to the project definition, execution and initial operations. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, client standards/ policies, and achievement of goals and objectives assigned to the project.

Key responsibilities:
Onshore pipelines and associated facilities delivery coordination, supported by our client
Onshore Delivery team and EPCM contractor
Incorporation of HSE objectives into design, design for safety and environmental goals
Management and execution of pipeline regulatory approvals process, including pipeline risk assessment and management
Project optimisation, definition, execution and initial operations
Pipeline design engineering and development as well as providing scheduling, estimating, procurement, Quality Management and reporting input
Supporting resources' identification, direction and co-ordination
Supervision of contractors and contract engineers
Keep abreast of current and developing offshore and onshore technology with a view to implementation of new technology in development options
Supporting development of construction strategies based upon market dynamics, cost trends and regional equipment availability
Assist as required with client project tollgating inputs, including: planning, cost and schedule benchmarking, preparation of client cost estimates and budgets, Risk workshops, Independent Peer Reviews and progress reporting

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of eight years broad-based pipeline / facilities engineering experience, with extensive hands-on project experience.
Detailed knowledge of pipeline system design, delivery, management, and regulatory approval as well as onshore gas pipeline systems and

related facilities is required.
Experience with Project Economic Evaluation, CAPEX and OPEX estimating and development planning will be well regarded.

Qualifications

Other Useful Qualifications/Attributes

Working knowledge of ISO 13628-6 and associated standards.
Experience working for system supplier(s) and/or in a client supervision role.
Knowledge of current subsea control system suppliers and their technologies.
Knowledge of key selection criteria for subsea control systems for conceptual design.
Capabilities to communicate efficiently with suppliers and subcontractors.
Preferably added knowledge of umbilical systems engineering.

Principal Pipeline Engineer (Rigid)

Our client currently requires the services of a Principal Pipeline Engineer for their newly formed Deepwater Division. This division brings together the strengths of our execution and installation divisions with our proven experience of concept select studies. You will report to the Pipeline Discipline Lead and will be responsible for concept development through to FEED and detailed design of rigid subsea pipeline systems.

Your primary functions in this role will include the provision of engineering management and completion of design work on projects, tenders and/or design studies. Compliance with client requirements, legislation, industry standards and group rules with respect to rigid pipe engineering scopes of work is essential.

Requirements of the successful candidate will include:

Extensive knowledge of rigid subsea pipeline engineering
10 years exp in offshore oil and gas industry with a minimum 7 years in rigid pipe engineering
Working knowledge of DNV-OS-F101
Knowledge of design, installation and operational rules for rigid pipelines including commissioning, decommissioning and pigging
Understanding of critical pipeline phenomena and its design mitigation including stability, upheaval and lateral buckling, and pipeline walking.
